Everything’s Back to Normal

Fishermens FleetIt’s been a very quiet past few days and I appologize. I had to move to a new rental house here in La Paz, so I spent about two days moving things and taking breaks to do various work related things. The internet at my previous house was down due to some line problems that couldn’t be sorted out with the provider. Now that I have the internet at home again and I finished moving the posts should pick back up again.

My good friends at Fishermen’s Fleet have put together a great promotional video of fishing here in La Paz, Mexico. The video will give you an idea of what a typical day with his charter service provides and what kind of species you can expect to catch. I’ve used David’s charter service for almost a year now, and have nothing but great things to say. Some of the video Clive and I have taken here in Mexico was donated to David even ended up in the video.

The next featured content will be a fishing log, from October 5th. I took two, non-fishermen, friends of mine out for the day with Fishermen’s Fleet and our trip was the most amazing fishing trip I’ve been on all year. You can expect that update tomorrow, with a few pictures from my fishing trip I took today. Until, then you can check out this awesome picture of yellow fin tuna taken by Mike on the trip being featured.

Re: Ch-Ch-Cha-Changes

Gary is correct, the fishing up there is rarely not very good. This trip was from her first year up there and she probably caught an average of 40 fish a day or more. Believe it or not her favorite part was sitting in shallow water and casting her spoon trough the weeds for Pike. Her technique also got her the most walleye on the trip. I agree with ya Woody, nothing like spending the whole day on the water with no electronic toys to dull the day......well except for my portable fish finder. :)

Re: Rocket Fishing Rod

My daughter wants me to get her a rocket fishing rod for Christmas, even though I did teach her the same way I learned with good ole rod and reel. I have seen more cons then pros with this product, but I don't wanna break her little heart and tell her she's better off with the rod she has now. Any tips to make the news breaking easier for both me and her? Thanks.

Re: Stormy Kromer Hat Contest!

I'm not much for a pithy comment, but I thought I'd leave a note about how honored I be to wear Kromer on my upcoming annual pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota. I'm sure that my hunting buddies will joke about how silly I look while they wear their stylized broad brim hunting caps, but I'll be laughing on the inside as my head stays nice and warm. I'll be laughing al the more when the stiff South Dakota wind picks up and Kromer is staying put. Finally, with the fall bite on, I know my new Kromer will call the [...]
