How do you catch baracuda in the bvi?? I am sailing in bvi and we will be stopping in places all around tortola. Any suggestions on what kind of lures to use?

I have spotted one big cuda under the Queen Elizabeth bridge, probably 4-5 feet long. I have had it attack several lures, and had it break my line once. I hear there is a big one lurking in Josaiahs Bay aswell.

Since the barracuda around Tortola are almost certianly all carrying cigutera, they're seldom pursued as a game fish. There are several large resident 'cudas in outlaying bays that are quite used to people, and hover around certain regulat charter boats looking for a handout.
"Barry" over at Cooper Island, a 5'+ fish with an unusually dark colouration, is known for gulping back left-over chicken legs with aplomb, cruising around the snorkellers.
