I know a lot of our readers like koi, so here’s something you might like, koi shoes!

This is a short video of a 400lb catfish being released by Larry Dahlberg. This massive fish was caught in Suriname and is said to be one of the largest catfish to be caught on a hook and line. It’s always good to see a big fish released!
I love lures from Japan. I love everything from Japan actually, but lets try and stay on topic. Japanese lures are amazing. Megabass (Megabass USA) probably make the most beautiful fishing tackle around. Take a look at some of these incredible lures designs – not sure how well they catch fish, but I’m sure they will catch fishermen!
These are the lures fishing enthusiasts dream about when they sleep. I wonder if these lures are as good as they look. Sadly, these are premium lures and have a high cost of ownership, some over $20 each, which means I wont be buying them anytime soon.
Most spinning reels look the same these days. The basic exterior design hasn’t changed much in the last 30 years, but one fisherman is trying to re-design the way we fish. Meet Doug Hannon, who has introduced the first major design change in spinning reels in ages, the WaveSpin. His new design is made to prevent you line from getting tangled, and it looks pretty damn good too.
The WaveSpin™ reel completely eliminates the common possibility of a loop in the spool that leads to tangled line, and it is estimated that more than 10% of spinning casts form a loop that most times lead to a tangled spool and “birdnest’ snarls. Doug’s WaveSpin™ reel is specifically designed to work equally well with both mono and super-braid lines.
I’d love to try out one of these reels and put them to the test!
