At Fishing Fury, we love shiny things as much as fish do - especially shiny reels. As odd as it may sound, it’s not only important that our reels function well, but that they look great too. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder when it comes to reels though. Personally I prefer the appearance of a round baitcast reel, where as Jon prefers low profile. One thing with both agree on though, is that if we had the money, we would have a serious collection of pimped out reels. Here’s a list of the reels we wish we had, but probably never will.
I stayed up late last night getting my lure website ready to launch. As many of you know, Jon is the one responsible for designing Fishingfury.com from scratch. I took the easy way out and started work on Rockstarlures.com using a pre-made template. I made several changes to tweak the page to suit my needs and style. It is NOT easy doing this web design stuff and I really gotta give props to Jon for making Fishing Fury look as great as it does.
Since spring is in the air, this is the perfect time to stock up on some lures. I’ll be adding new lures regularly and discount prices are available to anyone buying 5 or more lures. You can even request lures designs to meet your specific needs. Click the image below to view the new Rockstar Lures site!
For the first time ever an orangutan using tools to hunt been captured on film. A male orangutan equipped with a large poll trying to spear passing fish in the Gohong River. The orangutan shown had previously seen locals fishing with spears.
It’s not just a dinghy, and it’s not quite a plane - its a…deathtrap! Call me crazy, but I want one of these. It would make fishing those out of the way remote lakes pretty damn easy. Maybe if they added some sort of indestructible roll cage it would be better.
Most people don’t know this, but from are ferocious feeders. My aunt had a couple of frogs in a little pond in her backyard. She also had several good sized goldfish that started disappearing one by one. We assumed it was birds eating them, but one day we found a big fat frog with with a bright orange tail hanging out of its mouth. I’ve actually had frogs attack my fishing lures too - just like this guy…

Hey Peter,
Spoons will catch you several varieties of fish including two of my favorite, barracuda and jacks. If you plan to fish for tarpon the best bet is using live bait and fishing at night. Tarpon can be found though out the Virgin Islands by day and night and you should be able to find them as long as you have good eyesight! (look for schools of baitfish and pelicans)
Anegada probably holds some the best fishing in the BVI with a wide variety of species, including world class bone fishing.
If you plan to fish from a boat you are [...]
