I love magic. Who doesn’t? While this may not really be magic, it is completely awesome. Mike “Sharkman” Rutzen a man on a mission. A mission to help people see sharks for what they really are – intelligent kind animals. Mark has learned the skill of making sharks immobile by turning them on their heads and massaging their snouts, close to the eyes. This hypnotic state is referred to as tonic immobility, and lasts about 15 minutes.

The effects last for around 15 minutes and has proved a useful tool for scientists wanting to study shark behavior. Being able to get so close to the Great White, Mike discovered that they do not have beady black eyes, as previously thought, but they are actually a startling blue.
