I keep an eye on prices of the rods and reels I want, just in case I win the lottery or find myself with a large sum of money for no apparent reason. Of course, these situations never arise, but it doesn’t keep me from dreaming. Jon picked up one of Quantum best reels, the Tour Edition PT baitcaster and I had the chance to try it out last year. It’s truly an amazing reel, but with a price tag of $240 it was well out of my price range. Key word there is was. Until June 25, the reel is on sale at Cabelas.com for $110 off the normal price.
