I like the way the photo’s come up now, they look a lot sharper, don’t know why!…..I prefered the way it was laid out before for what my opinons worth but on the plus side, i’m before Musky Bill which is nice! (Sorry Bill)

You preferred the main content on the right you mean? Or you preferred how the albums were arranged?

Right now we are using the lightbox so that you can previous/next through the photos on the page (instead of taking you directly to the view page), I’ve even got the description and comment link in the lightbox caption. The only downside that I see right now is clients that disabled javascript don’t get to see the comments link, though that should be easily fixed by a link under the photos.

Also I’ve released this one as part of a test, there are some forms variables that will hopefully prevent spam, and comments are all run through Akismet (just like comments on this blog).

Hi Jon, The only thing i prefered before was the seperate Friends Of Fury album as i thought it was easy to find everyone’s fish to look at without looking at other Fishing related albums in between as it is now. Keep the Friends together!……. Anyway if i knew what i was talking about i would have my own site, and as i haven’t just ignore my comments and carry on as you’re both doing a cracking job!

Woody we still have the ‘friends’ tag which accomplishes pretty much the same thing.

Hi Jon, i’m sorry, us old people don’t like change, it’s so hard to keep up these days!…. No more whinging i promise after this last one…..I clicked on tags and then my name and my little Mirror Carp is missing, I’ve only got my other 2 pics on there and when you’re as bad as fishing as me then every picture counts because they don’t come along that often! Take care mate.

You mean the new carp you sent in? I’ll be updating that soon! The small carp you sent in a while back is still on the site.

Clive Mathias on July 2nd, 2008 @ 1:48 pm

Hi mate, not the new Carp, the small one…It is still on there, just not tagged under Mark Woodhouse, cya laters

That’s it make me look even more stupid than i make myself look!….The pictures appeared since i last looked, thanks and that really is the end of my ranting!

An Introduction to Fishing Japan – by Adam Guy

Japan, as an island nation, is surrounded by sea: to her east, the vast Pacific Ocean, the west, the Japan Sea and to the north, the Sea of Okhotsk. Correspondingly, Japan is blessed with a great variety of fish and marine life, large quantities of which end up on the nation’s dinner tables. Japan is also fortunate in that her islands span several climate zones. The southern Ryūkyū Islands, including Okinawa, are tropical, and are home to many varieties of reef-dwelling fish and invertebrates; the northern island of Hokkaidō, on the other hand, has a temperate climate similar to a northern European country and is famous for trout, salmon and cod fishing.
