Bill Dance Bloopers: Real or Real Fake?

The more Bill Dance bloopers I see, the more I wonder if they are real or staged. Is it possible that this man is really THAT clumsy, or is he intentional setting himself for disaster? Here’s a classic example, Bill precariously balances his fishing rod on a seat while he picks up his other rod…

And another prime example, Bill shows us his fishing rod while indoors, standing under a ceiling fan…

What do you think, are these bloopers the real deal, or is Bill Dance a comedic genius?

If this guy is this much of a knob, his sponsors should send me some gear and a camera man. I won’t lose or break any of the equipment and am surely willing to act as the comic relief and fall off the boat, get hooks stuck in me, etc… for the right price!!

Its not easy getting a a set of hooks in you like that. I’ve been hit by lures several times (and hit people with lures) and never had a hook stick in me.

Bill Dance sucks. He hooks the fish the same spot in the mouth everytime. Everything is set-up. He is a doosh bag.

Obvious fakes. How anyone can think they are real is a mystery to me. Must appeal to UFO/Bigfoot enthusiasts. ~ Walt

These are not fake. Bill spends hundreds of hours on the water every year. If you were out there that much and had all of that free gear you would make mistakes also.
Think about, You or I go and buy the best rods and reels we can afford. Often at times we sacrifice something else so that we can buy these things. Since we have put so much of our time and money into them we are extremely careful with them. His stuff is free!
By the way I have had many a cat fish snatch a rod over the side. After loosing just one rod, all of my rods are tied in with a string to the boat, even if they are in a rod holder. If I am fishing with just one rod then no i don’t tie it in.
Bill just gets it all for free and if he was shelling out his own cash it would not be as funny nor would he be able to keep fishing.
When I lost my 60 dollar catfish rig over the side thank god the was no camera.

I think some of them have to be staged. Did you see the one where he was on a dock handing off items to put in the boat. The guy was in the very still boat taking on the items. Then BD turns around with his back to the guy and grabs a battery to put on board. You can see that someone tugged the boat and it got out of the way just in time for him not only to dump the battery in the water, but all of a sudden BD swings himself in the water too. That was absolutely staged.

I think maybe his camera team have a lot of fun making him look dumb its not staged in the way that Bill isN’t expecting some of the things to happen but his production team has a giggle on it.

Also the clip before that one is an obvius prank. So much is fake but maybe not everything.

Everyone knows I am a klutz when I’m around water. I have great respect for Bill Dance because he is a greater klutz than I am, and no, I don’t think any of his bloopers are staged.
