Sailfish Nursery

Marine biologist Rick Rosenthal witnesses something no one has seen before: an adult sailfish believed to possess poor eyesight feeding at night. Then, drawn by the glow of Rick’s flashlight, a baby sailfish emerges from the darkness.

Who knew baby sailfish were so small?

That’s unbelievable….Even when you 1st see the baby you still can’t tell how big it is, But as soon as the bloke puts his hand next to it you realise the scale. (Excuse the pun!)

I want one for my aquarium!
Then, when it gets too big to handle, I’ll release it into Lake Ontario….YAH!

Your lakes must have high salinity content if they can hold fish like that in Bill…I know what you mean by the aquarium thing though, would be nice

Cerralvo Island, February 26th 2005

The sky, now turning from a pale grey to a wondrous blue in announcement of the rapidly approaching sun illuminated our mountainous silhouette surroundings. As the sun ascended over the mountain tops the desert awoke reaching upwards with an infinite number of cacti fingers. It was a marvelous spectacle to watch as small flocks of birds darted out of their nests and larger predatory birds appeared soring above. It was as if that single ray of sunshine swept the desert with a breath of extraordinary life.
