Fishing Gift Ideas 2008: Give the Gift of Gigantic Fishing Lures

I’m not sure why I like this product so much. The idea of it pretty strange, but I’d love to have one of these giant Rapala lures hanging over a my basement bar – If I had a bar that is, or even a basement. I’m a firm believer that 99% of fishing lures are designed to catch the fisherman, rather then the fish – and this one certainly doesn’t make any argument against that belief. This lure would be unusable to fish with and it’s only purpose is to be hung with relative care on your wall.

These 30 inch beauties will set you back $50-60.

Picked up one of these bad boys (original floater red&white) on clearance at walmart last Feb for 25$. I am really tempted to cast er out one day. I think when we move back home it will hang at fuglys.

50 or 60 bucks isnt bad as long as it comes with that real cute looking holder. when she is not holding the lure i am sure she would be great for drinks around the basement bar ;)

I have a couple of giant Rapala lures and would like to hang them from a wall. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this so it looks great! I’d hate to drill holes in them for this purpose.
