PETA had an ad campaign where they featured dogs being used as bait for sharks a while back. It was fake of course, but received a lot of publicity. I’m not sure if this was made by the same people, but it looks awfully fake to me – what do you think?

Seriously that video looks pretty damn fake to me. The cat shots are obviously done seperately since they’re high quality and the lighting is pretty much the same through out those shots. What kind of undercover operation has high quality shots of kittens in buckets and shitty quality fishing shots?Any of those fishing shots could have been taken straight off youtube and mixed with the kitten footage.
Also any 9 year old with a magic book and a video camera could pull of those lame slight of hand hooking shots. This is about as stupid as watching a Chris Angel video.

Jamie I’m sorry but the internet has shown us countless stupid slight of hand, camera angle, editing tricks before.
Heck the video is horrible enough thinking that someone is screwing with a soaked kitten just to prove a point, add some Chris Angel mind-freakingly horrible and obvious camera tricks, and you just made your cause look very foolish.
Don’t mistake my position. I’m against the mistreatment of animals. But I’m not stupid either.
Cats? Are you serious? A bleeding steak is way better bait than cats. You are getting ridiculous PETA. I used to admire you fighting against REAL ACTUAL things like animal abuse.
Also power plants don’t even emit pollution. . They use nuclear fission/fusion to heat water to turn turbines. The escaping “smoke” is actually steam.
Very real, educate yourselves before you state it’s “It was fake of course.” And before you just respond – before actually looking anything up for ourself – I’ll say it again. Educate yourself.

Jeanne you’re mistaken in my opinion. Im not foolish enough to believe that nobody has ever used cats or dogs as bait for fishing. And just like you I abhor this behaviour, if I saw someone doing this I would take serious action. I’m saying that this video, released by PETA, is fake and by creating a fake video (that you’ve touted as real) about such a subject totally negates their entire cause.
