I wouldn’t auctually use the card on myself. It would be used to help purchase items for my Dad. I just moved home and he has some projects he wants to do. But due to other incidents, those things have been put on hold. So I am hoping to help out money wise to get those done. The main one I want to help him with this spring is like a small gazebo to house the BBQ only, so that its protected from the rain, and have a light installed so that on those late nights its easier to see whats on the grill!
I would give it to my wife. She would go buy plants and things, and I would stay home and fake an illness. When she went to the store I would hook up the boat and go to the lake. The real beauty of it is that when I got home, I would not be in trouble because:
1: I would have fish and filled the provider role.
2: She will have bought new things, and be in an elated mood with that.
I would use the card for myself since I had a bunch of tools stolen from my toolbox. If that wasn’t bad enough, my parents got ripped off by a contractor who did half the job on their front door, the kitchen sink, and the bathroom sink. Instead of spending more money to hire somebody, I volunteered to clean up the mess and finish the work. I really need to get the door fixed as even the lock was installed incorrectly. What a mess.
3: My home would also be beautificated in the process!!!
If I had a HD gift card I’d use it to build the most kickass light table / screen press imaginable (well for $50) and then use it to make bitchin’ Fishing Fury shirts with slogans like “Holy Carp” and “Dope Koi Fresh”.

I need to fix up my deck, so it can support my Weber grill, so it can grill all the fish I’m going to catch this year.
i would use the money to buy tools specifically for tearing up carpet. I want to replace our carpet w/ hardwood; we are expecting twins in Nov, and carpet contributes too much dust to our air.
I would spend 1/2 on bug repellant(face it, that time is coming for those bad boys) and the other 1/2 I would spend on wood to fabricate a wall mounted rod holder(with pictures to follow~ whether I win or not, my wife said I must clean my fishing room)
See that boys…a whole room of my house dedicated to FISHING!
