I cant wait for this release, slated for June 1st on a Blu-Ray 4 disc set. David Attenborough is the narrator for the UK release, and in a mind boggling decision from the BBC, Oprah for the American release. Now, I have no issue with Oprah, but Attenborough is the best of the best – I for one will be willing to pay the extra cash to get a hold of the the UK release.

Life…Made in England, ruined by Americans!…How the Fuck can you replace the masters voice with that of a fat/thin/fat/thin chat show host…What’s she there for, to interview the animals and see if she can help with there problems, she hasn’t got a clue!

In hindsight, its a brilliant idea marketing wise. If Oprah promotes it on her show just once, there will be millions of potential buyers (read housewives)that would not have purchased it otherwise.
I think the best American narrator would have been Morgan Freeman!

The whole idea of these programs though is that this narrator knows what he’s talking about, he doesn’t just read a script to tell people what’s going on on the screen, he’s probably actually wrote the script and he’s seen it all 1st hand, not just read over a bit of film!…But if i had to choose an American to go over the top of him, i would like Foghorn Leghorn!
