I received my small collections of jigs in the mail last week, all individually wrapped in small ziplock bags. Though they came packed nearly flat in the bubble envelope they were shipped in they puffed up very nicely with only a little shake. So far, I’m very impressed with the quality of Big Smallie Tackle’s jigs and I have a feeling these are going to make those Toronto Island spring pike go crazy!

@KokeMachine the ones pictured here are between 3-5″ in length. Not exactly the size for trout, but they will be perfect for bass, pike, and musky. The hooks are also quite large.
The Finesse Jigs look like they would be good, but again the hooks are probably too big.

That said, I’m sure Ryan- as an avid fly tier- would be willing and able to make smaller ones if the demand was there. I’ve talked to him several times and he’s even commented above, perhaps if you’re looking for something specific or custom he would be willing to make them for you. Just send him an email and ask, he’s a great guy.

You’re absolutely right in that I often do custom jig orders as well, particularly smaller jigs lately for bass fisherman looking for float-n-fly jigs and really small hair jigs that I just haven’t offered commercially yet. I have not specifically tied any steelhead jigs, but usually if you send me a picture of exactly what you’re looking for, I’m always up for a new challenge!
