Wow, that is scary. I have no idea what this comes off of. Pretty sure if I showed this too my wife it would only ensure she would never go to the ocean. She has issues already with what she thinks is in any body of water. This would make it worse. Does anyone know what this is then?
They are found in warm water all over the world. We get them as far north as Cape Cod here in Massachusetts. They are protected under the Endangered Species Act in the US and that horrifying mouth is used to eat jellyfish almost exclusively.
