CGear Sand-Free Multimat – First Impressions

If you own a car or boat you’ve probably noticed how easily sand and grit can make it in to your vehicle. Sand and other small particles are lurking everywhere, stuck to your shoes, clothes, gear, and just about anything that touches the ground. To make matters worse removing these particles from your vehicle is difficult and time-consuming. If you’re familiar with these problems prepare to rejoice because CGear’s patented Sand-Free technology promises an end to the madness.

The Sand-Free multimat minimizes sand, dirt, and other small particles through its unique dual layer design. The top layer is a simple grid pattern of mostly open space allowing the particles to fall straight through. The second layer is a more intricate weave with tight groupings of knots designed to prevent sand and other particles from coming back up through the mat. With these two layers combined the mat promises you a sand and grit free surface for the outdoors.

I will be testing CGear’s Sand-Free multimat in a variety of situations this year including as a beach mat and as ground cover when camping. Stay tuned for the full review and continue reading for more photos.
