Why are you advertising this company? They don’t have good deals. With the exception of some of the no-name clothing, almost everything they’ve had a “deal” on is cheaper on Amazon.com and Ebay. I first found out about them after a new organization, TakeMeFishing.org, sent me an unsolicited email about Tightlinz. Since they were recommended by a non-profit fishing organization, I figured I’d check them out.
After realizing there no deals, I found it curious that a new non-profit was suddenly sending me unsolicited email for a new “deals” website that just sells things at retail.
The whole thing smells fishy to me.
John, well firstly this is a fishing blog and therefore we cover everything related to fishing that should be obvious. Both retailers you mentioned do not give any of their profits (that I know of) to companies and organizations that support our industry. Personally, I’m not fan of Ebay so I don’t buy things from there anyway. As for the deals, that’s honestly for you as a consumer to decide and those Howler Brother (maybe you havent heard of them but I have) shirts were like 50% off so I certainly wouldn’t say there were no deals. Also TakeMeFishing.org has been around for at least 5 years, I wouldn’t exactly call them new.
All things said and done, we do appreciate your feedback and we’ll try to seek out some better deals to showcase to our readers.
