Lunkerhunt brands themselves as a company that is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality, fishing products for anglers of all skill levels- and what better skill level to target than novice. That’s exactly where the aptly named LunkerHunt Edu-Kits come in.
Each Edu-Kit is a complete package of species targeted lures and a Pro Knowledge Handbook outlining exactly how to use the provided equipment. Edu-Kits are perfect for kids, or even experienced anglers looking to try a new type of fishing or target a new species. There are 24 different Edu-Kits in total designed to target and catch over a dozen different species of fish.
As you can see the enclosed instructions give you a clear guide on how to tie your hook, rig your bait, and even how to present the lure when fishing. I plan on testing the Edu-Kits by giving them to some of my novice angler friends and seeing if they can educate themselves on a new type of fishing. Stay tuned for a full review!

What a great idea. It’s easy to forget how much you didn’t know when you first started fishing. Trial and error can be fun, but giving newbie’s confidence in a new fishing style is a great way to keep them excited about the sport.
I think a lot of lure companies for get about the novice market and focus on the die-hard fisherman. It’s great to see a company take it from the opposite perspective.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
I’m trying to find a place to buy a few of these in the US, but it seems their distribution might be limited here. Any idea where I can order these online?
Alex, I’m not sure if they’re available in stores yet. I will email LunkerHunt and ask for you. The good news is that we’re going to be giving away some of the ones we’ve got so stay tuned for your chance to win!
Alex,
Edu-kits are available Scheels, Sportsman’s warehouse, K-Mart, SAIL, Canadian Tire, Homehardware, Wal-Mart Canada, and other fine retailers in the US and Canada. MSRP $6.99
I just purchased the Lunker sticks EDU kit and took my kids and my nephew to a local pond in PA. Not only did we catch fish but big fish! Nothing under 3lbs. Those kids had a blast and my 8yr old understood the instructions clearly
[...] If you don’t see these on the shelves of your local tackle shop you might want to start asking for them. They are without a doubt the nicest looking 3″ minnow on the market right now. Don’t forget to look forward to my upcoming review of the Lunkerhunt Edu-Kits. [...]
