I just posted a short report and photos in the forums about the salmon fishing trip I went on yesterday. Dave landed three solid fish, and there were several other guys that landed some absolutely massive ones. I still haven’t managed to land anything on my float setup yet, but I’m getting better and closer. I also dropped my reel in the water and had to fish it out by stripping all the line and backing which was a huge headache. I may head out again in the morning to the Credit River, hopefully I’ll have better luck.
Don’t forget about our new contest where you and a friend could win some fantastic gear from Water Gremlin! Here is a simple breakdown of the contest details.
Refer a friend to Fishing Fury Forums by having them and you could win! Winners are chosen every month for the rest of the year, with the year-end winners receiving a full weight set from Water Gremlin!
Another beautiful issue of Catch Magazine is fresh of the virtual press, check it out!
There are a quite a few stunning fly fishing videos out there, but this one may take the cake. This is the first fly fishing film to be shot on the Red One. If I had the money, I’d have a Red One and a Phantom Flex to film my fishing adventures!
A film documenting the world’s most extraordinary insect hatches and the fantastic fly fishing that accompanies them. A Gin-Clear Media production.

If you haven’t visited our gallery in a while you might not know that I’ve uploaded several albums of photos from my various trips to Algonquin Park this year. It’s almost hard to believe I’ve already done a handful of trips there this year, and the year isn’t even over yet! Check out the photos, including this one of my friend Patrick with the biggest splake trout I’ve ever seen, not to mention Patrick’s now personal best, and the Snap Shot Ruler in action!
Yet another trip to Algonquin, but this time my friends and I check out some of the further south lakes and hope to find less crowded lakes and trails for the long weekend. We launched from Kingscote Lake, and spent nights on Branch Lake and Byers Lake where we also managed to catch some fish for dinner.
