The ultimate jacket for the fishing bum. It’s not just a coat, it’s a fitted waterproof, inflatable, home on the go!
It’s refreshing to get away from work and the hustle and bustle of life in the city, but spending time in nature can be a challenge – carrying luggage and outdoor equipment, and being prepared for unpredictable weather can cause inconveniences. Functioning as both a windbreaker and a sleeping bag, Sleeping Coat overcomes some of these challenges.
It is made with a lightweight waterproof fabric that keeps the body warm, and can be inflated to create a comfortable, warm sleeping bag. The lower part can also be detached to create a small mattress. Multiple pockets can be used to store personal items. Sleeping Coat offers protection and convenience in the outdoors.
I must say, the toughest versus opponent we’ve ever covered has got to be the Barbie fishing rod. Coming in with several high ranking wins, like Black Drum, Catfish, and even Blue Shark!
The catfish posts claims a loss, but I’ve never seen it. As far as I’m concerned the Barbie fishing rod has a flawless 4-0 record and has even defeated one of freshwaters top predators- the muskellunge.

File this one under “ashamed I didn’t think of it”- or maybe just file it under “ashamed”, heh. I’ll be honest, I love infomercials. Being a child that grew up with some severe insomnia I would often sneak out of my room and watch tv in the middle of the night and sure enough infomercials were the #1 thing on TV at 4am. I don’t just like infomercials, I’m a connoisseur!
A good infomercial can make you laugh, but only a great infomercial can make you laugh and hide your face in disgust at the very same time. This, my friends, is a great infomercial.

Straight out of the “OH SH*T” department, we have this video of surfer Chuck Patterson on a stand-up paddle board who notices a few extra fins in the water and decides to put his underwater camera down to see what’s going on down there. Turns out it was two great white sharks deciding if he’d make a good dinner, luckily though he made it out without any injuries! Personally, I’d crap my pants and I’m not ashamed to say it.
the day before I shot this video, i was SUP surfing with a couple friends and 2 sharks circled us for about 15 minutes. the next day, i decided to go back out at around the same time and take my GO PRO HD HERO camera mounted on a 10 ft pole and do some exploring.
Sure enough within 5 minutes a 9 ft shark came out of no where and circled twice and slapped his tail on my board before disappearing. then a minute later a 7 ft young juvenile Great White swam circles around me for 12 minutes. It was an unreal experience that I will cherish forever. chuckpattersonsports.com
Another great video on a Go Pro Hero HD, I really want one of these badly!
Well first, you’re going to need a jet ski. But add a few modifications, sweet electronics, some huge cajones (10+ years experience on the water would help!) and you’re in for some of the most adventurous offshore fishing of your life. Being able to get out 30+ miles to local reefs, wrecks, and shoals with the opportunity to catch fish bigger than you and your watercraft gets my adrenaline pumping just thinking about it.
I recently caught this great video on WFN and was kind of surprised to recognize the person in it. I recognized JetSki Brian from PWC Forum where he frequently gives out some great jet ski fishing knowledge, like this recent post (complete with photos) about all the gear he packs.
