Fishing Fury now on YouFish2.com!

That’s right we’ve uploaded some of our awesome videos to YouFish2.com! This also marks the change in music as the previously used songs are copyrighted and we’re trying to move away from that as we get more popular. I’ve managed to replace a few of the videos on Vimeo, however YouTube fails to allow users to re-upload videos. According to YouTube my only option is to delete the video and start again, loosing all my views, comments, ratings, etc.. YA RIGHT!

Well at least moving forward we can do the right thing. The music in these videos was provided by The Total Camble Experience.

I know you’ve probably seen these videos before, but it spent some extra hours up late getting the audio to match perfectly (or as perfectly as possible) with the video. So please, for the sake of all the sleep I lost, watch them!

Reel Baja Is For Real

We’ve spent some time in the Baja, and we know just how good the fishing is, but we never tried fly fishing there. These guys definitely have…

Fishing Fury 2005 – La Paz, Mexico

Thats right, I’ve finally finished our video compilation from 2005 when we were living and fishing in La Paz, Mexico. I had a limited ammount of footage to work with, due to the pressures of wanting to fish over wanting to film, but we captured some of the greatest moments in Fishing Fury history and I think that this will be the best video thus far. I really wanted this video to feel like our first trip to Cerralvo Island and, at least in my mind, it does. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and please let us know what you think.

More Awesome Fishing Videos

I’ll probably hold off on posting more videos for the next few days, the page seems to be getting cluttered with nothing but videos and I want to put the final polish on the video I have prepared from our 2005 footage in Mexico. I also have a ton of little clips and outtakes that should be hilarious to watch. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like there will be a 2006 video, Clive and I were both off doing our own thing and while it’s hard to put down your rod and film your partner, it’s even harder to film yourself. The good news is that we are planning to head back to Little Vermillion this spring and I have some great surprises along the way.

While you’ll still have to wait for the official Fishing Fury Mexico video you can find us in David Jones’ great Fishermen’s Fleet video.

And if you’re still feeling nostalgic of 2004 from the previous videos you can check out Clive’s video.

Dorado Fishing

Dorado Close-UpYesterday, I took the day off and went fishing with Fishermens Fleet and decided to take Micheal out fishing with me. He’s been cooking dinner for us for a week or two now, mostly fish that I’ve caught, and I figured it was time to take him out and see just what fishing in La Paz is all about (WMV video). The schools of Yellowfin Tuna have all seemed to migrate away from the areas they’re most commonly found but Dorado and Marlin are relatively easy to find right now. Sure enough, it was just like the last time I took a novice fishing as Micheal landed the first fish, and then next 2 after that.

It’s often hard to say what I enjoy more, that furious feeling when Im catching fish, or watching someone experience it for the first time.

We caught 7 Dorado total, and 5-6 Bonita Tuna which we used for bait to catch Marlin and big Dorado. Unfortunatly there were no Marlin on this trip for us, but we did witness one of the younger captains fishing by himself land what had to be at least a 200 pound Blue Marlin. As he drove off towards the shore with a tail that must have been 4-5 feet wide sticking out of one end of the boat, and the bill sticking out of the other, he gave us a thumbs up and was gone.

Hoping for my first Marlin, I will be going fishing again tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I’ve also included some great photos from the day, like the close-up of the Dorado above, in the full text of this entry.
