The Discovery Channel’s 446-foot-long inflatable shark on top of its Silver Spring, MD, headquarters. The inflatable shark is 113-feet tall from his belly to dorsal fin and 200-feet wide.
Thresher sharks are onf of my favorite types of sharks. They are notorious for strong fights and big jumps and are one of the most easily identifiable sharks thanks to a huge tail fin that is 1/3 of its total size.
It’s no secret that sharks are deadly hunters, but photographer Chris Fallows learned first hand that even the most feared fish in the ocean will miss an attack.
“The power, speed, and purposeful attack of the predators is equally matched by the agility and survival [rate] of the seals,” photographer Chris Fallows said. “In roughly 50 percent of all attacks on seals, the white shark is successful. Each season I may observe as many as 600 predatory events [around South Africa's Seal Island].”

Hey Peter,
Spoons will catch you several varieties of fish including two of my favorite, barracuda and jacks. If you plan to fish for tarpon the best bet is using live bait and fishing at night. Tarpon can be found though out the Virgin Islands by day and night and you should be able to find them as long as you have good eyesight! (look for schools of baitfish and pelicans)
