This Is Fly Issue 49

I finally got around to reading through the latest issue of This Is Fly. As usual, this issue is top-notch and may just be my favourite issue yet. It features some incredible action from the Sea of Cortez and epic adventure from my fellow Canadians, team Hooke. Enjoy.

99 Problems But A Fish Ain’t One!

This fishy rap parody comes to us from fishing enthusiast and professional comedian Jesse Furman. Jesse combines his two passions to create the Reel Comedy fishing show where he travels the globe with an experienced guide in search of trophy fish. Any fisherman will tell you, “fishin’ ain’t easy”, but at least with Jesse on board you’re sure to hook into some big laughs.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada Now Open!

Yesterday was a big day for the city of Toronto. A new 12,500 square-metre (135,000 square-foot) aquarium with more than 5.7 million litres (1.5 million gallons) of water was finally opened. Located in the shadow of the CN Tower, the aquarium promises to be a huge tourist attraction. The Aquarium of Canada was originally supposed to open more than a month ago, but was delayed until yesterday. Tickets for the attraction are not cheap ($30 per adult), but a 365 day pass can be purchased for only $100.
