Fury Flashback – Little Vermilion June 2007

We have been pretty spoiled when it comes to pike fishing. We have had the opportunity to fish some of the best pike water in the world, not once, but twice! Originally we visited Sportsman’s Lodge on Little Vermilion Lake in 2005 and we were promised big pike. Not only did we catch big pike, but we got a lot of pike. Finding fish was easy on our first trip, but in 2007 things were very different on Little Vermilion. We faced extremely cold weather and high winds at the end of May and leading into June. We battled through snow and rain early on, and by our last day of fishing the sun was shining and the weather warmed up. We didn’t catch as many fish, but we had several fish over 40 inches, and a couple that weren’t too far from 50.

Tim Horton’s Camp Day 2015

I can still remember the excitement of going to summer camp when I was a child. I learned a lot about the outdoors and I think it really helped to shape my love of the wilderness. Today Tim Horton’s will be donating 100% of their proceeds on every coffee sold to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, which in turn will help disadvantaged kids go to camp. As if you needed an excuse to drink more coffee today.

Tim Hortons Camp Day

On June 3rd, buy a coffee at Tim Hortons and you’ll be helping to send even more kids to camp this year. Restaurant owners will donate 100% of the proceeds from every coffee sold to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, which sends economically disadvantaged kids to one of our camps for the experience of a lifetime. This one day has the power to give thousands of kids from the community the chance to have an amazing opportunity.

You don’t drink coffee? Don’t worry, you can still donate here!

FishingFury on World Fishing Journal

You may have seen FishingFury.com make a quick appearance (1 minute and 10 seconds to be exact) the World Fishing Network a few weeks back, if you missed it, here’s the scoop.

A couple of months ago, I was asked to do a quick interview for a show on the World Fishing Network called World Fishing Journal. Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to represent our site and talk about social media and the fishing world. A lot of the interview didn’t make the final cut but I had a great time being on camera and I got to include my youngest son Reno. Click the image below to head to the World Fishing Network to take a look at the end result!
