Steve Irwin would be proud to see this – the worlds largest crocodile caught alive in the Philippines. These huge crocodiles can be challenging to catch alive, but 100 mean teamed up to make sure this 21 foot croc was caught unharmed. The massive crocodile will become the main attraction at a new Eco-tourism park being built in Agusan.

At least 100 men were required to pull the huge reptile on to the banks of the creek where, after a great deal of difficulty, it was bound up and then lifted by crane on to the back of a truck.
They weren’t going to let the victory pass without having their photo taken, so many of the villagers posed beside their scaly captive before it was driven off to a confined area.

This is why I love fish, they can do some pretty amazing things!

The archerfish (Spinner Fish or Archer Fish) are a family (Toxotidae) of fish known for their habit of preying on land based insects and other small animals by literally shooting them down with water droplets from their specialized mouths. The family is small, consisting of seven species in the genus Toxotes; which typically inhabit brackish waters of estuaries and mangroves, but can also be found in the open ocean as well as far upstream in fresh water[1]India to the Philippines, Australia, and Polynesia. Philippine fishermen have recently caught one of the rarest creatures on earth, a megamouth shark. These rare shark were first discovered in 1976 and since then only 41 have been discovered. Sadly, the 41st was killed and eaten. Activists are up in arms, but as sad as it is, at least the shark provided food and nourishment for several families. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of these incredible sharks have been killed by finning in other areas of the world.
