Man Has Forearm Reattached After Croc Bites it Off

More unusual news from Taiwan, this time involving a rare nile crocodile. A Taiwanese veterinarian found himself in a very unfortunate situation when a 17 foot long croc surprised him and bit half of his arm off. The severed arm was retrieved after after a zoo worker shot the 440lb monster twice, apparently not harming the croc in anyway. So let these be a lesson, don’t ever put your hand into a crocodiles mouth - even if you think it has been anesthetized.

Exploding Whales

Back in 1970, the good people of Florence, Oregon were met with a severe problem; how do you remove eight ton whale from the beach. Since nobody wanted to cut the whale up, the only logical plan they could come up with was to use a half ton of dynamite to clear the whale from the beach. Now I’m no brain scientist, but surely somebody must have known this was a bad idea.

Thanks to the wonders of YouTube we can now sit back and watch one of humanitys brightest moments more then 35 years later.

Recently, on the other side of the world, the people of Tainan, Taiwan were faced with a similar problem when a much larger whale washed up on shore. Instead of using the Americans vulgar technique, they decided to place the whale on the back of a truck and drive it through the city so marine biologists could examine its remains. In theory, this was a great idea, but while on route, the gases from internal decay caused its stomach to explode, covering the streets with blood and guts.

Re: Season Closer

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they get a little darker as they age. The biggest I've caught was about 14 inches long and still had these colours.

Re: Season Closer

Do these colours stay with the fish or as it gets bigger and older it fades or morphs into something else?

Re: Sailfish Nursery

Your lakes must have high salinity content if they can hold fish like that in Bill...I know what you mean by the aquarium thing though, would be nice
