Does anyone know of a good place to get (in the US) one of the “catapults” (slingshot) that is used in Europe to bait an area further from shore for carp?

I couldnt find anywhere, so ended up making my own. Far more actuate baiting an area with a catapult
Agreed some leather and surgical tubing tied to just about anything in a Y shape will get the job done.

Yeah, I could jerry-rig something but I like having the right tools for the job. For example I think they have cups shaped properly to hold different baits. I don’t know, I tend to save up (not that this should be costly) and get nice equipment instead of being frustrated by makeshift stuff.

Pets stores have the big sling shots that shoot tennis balls - they should work perfectly for what you need.
Also have you guys tried bass pro? I'm sure I've seen there there too.
A dog ball thrower may work too, although it wont go as far.
