Have any of you guys seen the Plano Liquid Bait Lockers in person? They look pretty good in the video (see link below) especially if you are fishing from a boat and have plenty of space. I could even see throwing the jar and wallet into a backpack when shore fishing. Apparently they are sold out at most stores right now but I bat they’ll be back in stock after xmass.
I’ll be getting some combination of the boxes/jars. God knows I tired of the mess and I haven’t even ruined a carpet!

Well there you have it Berkley, someone is now making money off your mistakes. Cant we get the same o-ring style lids on the gulp alive products?

Well, I just ordered a set from the only place that seems to have them in stock so I’ll let everyone know how they are.

So I’ve gotten a set of the Plano Gulp (technically any bait with liquid) storage equipment. Despite being a bit disgruntled that I have to buy something extra to keep my Gulp baits from leaking everywhere, I’m have to say I’m quite happy with this Plano set.
This is a complete set: Water proof box, waterproof “wallet” (small box), leak-proof jar, and small tongs to get baits out of the jar.

This is everything pack into the box:

This is the box all buttoned up:

Here is a closer pic of the full jar. I’ve got quite a few different baits in there and it’s almost full of the liquid. This jar has a quality o-ring in the lid and will not leak. I let it sit upside down all night and not one drop leaked out.

While I know that it’s a real shame (shameful really) that Berkley is letting another company make money from their poor packaging, I must say; if you want to keep using Gulp products (or even others like Trigger X) I have to recommend Plano’s Liqua-Bait Locker system. Take the whole thing on the boat or just bring one of the wallets in your backpack for shore fishing.
Like I've said and opening in the market will only stay open for so long.
