Hello,

Is there a place around GTA where I could catch and release some sheepheads?

I remember reading somewhere which I can't remember where I think during sunset hours you can catch a lot of sheepheads?
I think it was some pier or some where hamilton?
What time of the day would be good?
Maybe I'll drive by and see if there are people fishing~

I want to let my nephews try catching a bigger fish than bluegills now.

Oh... and 2 weeks ago,,, bluegills were just one fire, they were everywhere around those spawn area... it was like fishing in a fish tank full of hungry fish.

Anyways, please let me know.

Thanks.

Used to get the odd one at Toronto islands, havent heard of anyone getting them recently though.

Near Pickering power plant may be your best bet from shore. The warm water in the area attracts all sorts of fish!

Last time I was on the islands I saw a HUGE one, must have been 20lbs! Looked like a huge rock until my lure scared it off and I realized what it was.

Hello again...

I stopped by Bronte pier just to seat and relax for a bit....
I was there around 7~8pm ish~

and I noticed there was about 10 or so fishermen by the long pier fishing for something.

Anyone know what they are fishing for ?

I know the salmon guys like it out there, but its not the right time of ear for salmon. There would definitely be carp out there, and smallmouth bass. Potentially any Lake O species could be around. Next time you go, ask them what they're fishing for - I'd like to know too!
