I originally posted this in the general talk section before i saw the fishing gear/equipment section so i figure ill post it here since its relevant to the topic.

I saw this gold casting spoon the other day on the website www.gatorlures.com so i bought it. ha freakin lure may be the nicest lure i've ever seen, Ends up its 24 kt gold plated!

caught 12 bluefish today on it. Can't wait to use it again. Think im going to buy the 1 ounce with green on it next

heres a link to it

How'd it look after all those toothy bruisers? I've had bluefish tear up my gear before. God help you if you're fishing soft plastic with them around.

Suprisingly you couldn't see any signs of wear on it...small scratch marks and even fishing off a jetty there was no dents dings chips or anything. bent hook from using plyers with those teethy monsters

From working with metal i know 304 stainless is hella strong, and thats what gator lures lists in their description as the material they use. i fished other brand spoons like these before and they get dinged up so quick cause they are made from brass or whatever else..

You could probably catch some women with that thing too, if you wore it around your neck. You can catch a lot of tail with silver and gold.
