Fished this afternoon with my little girl (2 years old) at Marie Curtis park on Etobicoke creek. I finally caught a carp after two summers of failure (thankfully in that time I caught a heck of a lot of walleye and pike). I don't have a scale, but it hardly fit in my net and I would guess it was around 15 lb. I was using a hair rig (thanks to those that posted hair rig info) with tutti frutti mega corn from New World Carp. I put my bait in a PVA bag with some kernel corn. I think my biggest problem had been that I had no idea how carp hit, so previously I had tried setting the hook when I think they may have just been brushing up against my line. Now I have no doubts, he almost pulled my rod into the water haha! Took about 20 minutes to land it, so much fun. Sorry I don't have any pics, it was a spur of the moment trip and forgot the cam.
Heading out tomorrow or Sunday (maybe not the same place) and will be sure to bring a cam this time.
