Hooked up with Dave and Kokemachine in cobourg. We went in search of chrome but all we found was brass. The river is full of rednose suckers the pools we fished would have one maybe two steelhead and like 30-40 suckers. I caught like 10 suckers and even a few on my fly rod! I was using those artificial salmon eggs so u didn't mind catching the suckers so much since they weren't destroying a roe bag and I caught them all on the same artificial! Koke did manage to catch a steelhead and Dave landed a very sick looking one before we left.

The cool thing for me was that I caught my first fish of the year. I don't care if it's a sucker to be honest. But I also managed to catch one on my fly rod!

we saw a few rainbow trout...maybe 6 over at the leslie spit today

Not the first sucker Ive ever caught, but the first one on the fly for sure. Also caught the biggest sucker Ive ever seen I'll post some pictures of it shortly.

great photos...you have one solid quality camera and a steady hand...love the crayfish and the colours on the bows ....and the light shading makes the sucker pic a classic.

Speaking of big white suckers...this is possibly one of the biggest I've caught.

Hey so Kokemachine what would you say to inviting a couple people out to that private property on the Boyne? get a small group of fishing fury members in?

Yeah that could be sweet if anyone is game. It's a small stretch of river though so maybe 6 dudes total.

So I spoke with my GF we can crash at her place the night before , she lives in Barrie so it will be a much shorter drive.
