I certainly dont know of anywhere but i believe harvesting them shouldn't be to difficult.

I'm drawing a blank on sales in Ontario, but I did find a great article on raising your own using fruit instead of rotting meat as a growth agent, so that you don't have to worry about any nasty meat based bacterias.

So I might give this a try.....

I found a distributor near me. I called them and emailed them to inquire them about individual sales...but they didn't get back to me.

I have tried calling a few places ,I think I called Pagonis too, but they basically all say that they only import maggots during winter as ice fishing bait...? No one seems to be farming their own like they do with worms.

I have preserved ones that are real (not plastic), see below.





They come in a bunch of colours, including white.
I am thinking of raising a batch of my own as these are REALLY expensive.....plus they don't have the wriggle....

My sister won't be too happy if I raise some in the apartment.

But if you raise some, I'd be happy to buy some from you. They are great bait for micro fishing too.

I have tried a few of the major chains like petsmart, but no joy. Someone put me onto a reptiles store out near parliament, so I sent out a few emails to small stores, fingers crossed!
