Hey Guys,

Was at a friends cottage this weekend and the weather on Saturday was awesome. As we all know it was Bass opener, so I was throwing around a crayfish on a shaky head rig. There was a guy in a boat i was talking to and I also saw him land a couple nice largemouth's on a wacky worm rig.

We were on Horseshoe Lake which is near Minden.

I was throwing my crayfish in some deep water along weed lines and I had a huge hit. Something I failed to mention was that I am sitting in a kayak.

After about a 10min fight, with the fish hugging the bottom, taking me for a ride and taking lots line I got a visual of the fish. It was a massive Musky. "SWEET"...

As soon as it saw me it did a awesome jump and kept going wild. There was another boat near me and they were so excited that I had this massive fish.

After a bit more of a fight i managed to get the fish to the size of the Kayak, grabbed it and was holding it. The fish was a Tiger Musky and was approx. 40" in length and was a fat fish.......

I unhooked it, showed the guys on their boat and a successful release.

Never hooked a fish that big in a Kayak and let me tell you it was sooo much fun.

Did not have a camera or anything. So no picture.

When I got back to the dock, I told my friends the story and they thought it was fictional, until I said, hey if you don't believe me smell my hand's. LOL...

Nice weekend.

I'll be out Salmon fishing next Sunday. So I will be sure to post a report then.
