Sorry I couldn't make it. I was up really late working and couldn't get out of bed, ended up getting woken up around noon because something else was broken :\

    Hey guys,

Sorry I couldn't make it to the Islands yesterday. I was so focused on helping out the kids on Saturday I completely forgot to put on sunscreen and got burned pretty badly. My arms and neck are still hurting in the shower today. Should have put on my long sleeve shirt like I had done for the past two years...

It was a super fun day at High Park though.

    See you guys soon again.

Very sorry I couldn't make it out this weekend I was pretty much working non-stop. Not how I like to spend my weekends, but it's part of the job :\

Guys not to worry, the events were a success...and we are all at the mercy of our works beckon calling ...cause if we aren't someone else will soon have our jobs. We knew this going into our volunteer work that we needed more people then we really needed to send to an event because there are always unforseen circumstances ahead of us. i just plain hate work and i think that you would have rather fished with the kids than gone into work too. Ken on Sat we all saw your commitment to teaching kids how to fish...you were front and centre all day no break...vulnerable to sunburn and heatstroke...we all felt like crap sunday am...but i think we sent you out to instruct first and you were out there to the bitter end...your health and safety is a paramount concern and if you were sick monday and missed work then that doesn't workout with volunteering for things. So ...the only thing to be sorry about was the lost opportunity to play and fish with the kids sunday....and yes sunday was a lot easier on us and allowed us more fun than we had on sat...the conditions were better...no rain, more fish,no weeds, less casting tangles, rods put together already and properly by the Chinese Anglers Assc. The islands provided a better venue but i would never turn down an invite to High Park...there were plenty of wonderful moments there as welland we were needed more there...and our purpose is to serve our community and our sport where needed.
