Pickeral fishin in Chipman NB
My buddy and I went out Tues afternoon for a few hrs of chain pickeral fishing. We went to the salmon River in Chipman NB about 180 kms from home. Although the weatherman had called for rain showers, we never received any. It was mainly sunny with a good breeze right up till dark. I hooked my first fish in about 10 min as we were only a couple hundred yards from the launch site. We boated 45 pickeral and lost many others with poor hooksets. (all were released). Almost every fish was caught using red merthiolate senkos 5.5" rigged weedless and casted along weed lines and right into the weeds and lilypads. The largest one was 25" and most of the others were over 20". It was a great day on the water. I will include one pic of the 1st one I caught, 24"
Money cant buy happiness, but it can buy fishin tackle and that is almost the same thing!!

That's a SOLID chain pickerel session! What I would give to fly out there and try for one...currently bankrupt...so I have nothing to give.

Wow, that's a lot of fish. Your arms must have gotten pretty tired, not to mention blunted hooks. Fun.
