Credit River
Hit the Credit River with Dnaluz this morning, no fish landed but we spotted 1 or 2 big pacific salmons in a pool. Unfortunately we had no luck catching them, and I had even less luck as I broke the tip of my float rod early in the morning.

The Salmon being in the river already is early, but good news for shore anglers. Bummer about the rod though. Perhaps you can salvage what's left, by putting a new rod-tip eye on the end. Whatever you do, save the exiting rod-tip eye off the broken tip. You can remove it and glue it onto a future rod if you ever damage that rod-tip eye. I did that once and the rod-tip eye is still on and solid on one of my favourite rods.

I'm probably going to have to buy another rod before I get this one fixed, luckily it's not an expensive rod. We had a ton of rain last week, or was it the week before? Anyway Dave and I headed out then as well but the water was high and muddy so we turned around. Hopefully we get some more rain this week to push some more fish up.

Well Jonathan, it happens to all of us sooner or later. About 3 weeks ago I was at a muskie outing and dropped the big hatch cover on my buddies boat on my rods. Broke my Shimano Compre right off ,about 18 inches of it. Picked up the other rod and put the lure on it and casted. About 18" of it followed the lure into the river. It was a real Bill Dance performance!!!!
Money cant buy happiness, but it can buy fishin tackle and that is almost the same thing!!

Was able to get out 2 times this weekend, not on the credit though. I've never seen so many salmon in this early before, this crazy weather! Hopefully this means the trout will be in sooner. I saw a couple of bows hanging around the tail end of pools trying to pick a snack off the spawning salmon but they aren't in, in fishable numbers yet. I'm almost tired of salmon already bring on the bows!!!!
Tightlines!

Been reading some other reports about the credit, lots of salmon being landed at the mouth of the river. One report also indicates bass and pike are around!
