You'll find plenty of good shore fishing spots inside the city limits, toronto islands, leslie street split, humber bay.. What are you fishing for?
Yes, Ed F took my avatar photo.

Joseph, all the fishing is right here in T.O., You can fish the toronto islands, ashbridges bay, Humber bay park, the humber river, etirn brule park, grenadier pond in high park, there are many options, and I am sure that there are some ponds and small lakes in Markham as well. These are all good spots during different times of the year, The salmon will be running real soon, so mouths of rivers off lake Ontario are good, ie The credit the humber, the rouge...try em all, good luck.
FISH ON!!!

Lots of places, but many are seasonal choices. Get a copy of the cottage country map books that Canadian Tire (or even my grocery store!) sell. Excellent, detailed maps of all the road access to waters around Southern Ontario.
Many of the Locks on the Trent system have good fishing around the dams. The locks themselves arent fishable until the lock has closed in the evening though. Theres good shore fishing around parts of Lindsay, Peterborough, Fenlon Falls. Orillia has a fishing pier....etc.

Re: New to forum_little question
I'll give up 2 of my spots. One is Rosedale Ontrio. Between Balsam and Cameron lakes. Off of #35 and under the bridge over the canal there is a public dock. Good smallmouth and rock bass, plus walleyes and all the other species. Very good evening fishing.
The other is in Peterborough. Take #35/115 North to P'borough. Take 7/115 and get off at the Bensfort road exit. Go North and turn left onto Riverview heights. At the end of the street is a small park. The park is just downstream of the lock into the lake at downtown Peterborough. Theres a fair bit of fishable shore. You need a good long cast, but theres good bass, panfish, carp and the odd muskie to be had. I used to take my canoe there and launch from the park.
Google maps is your friend here. If you poke around on the maps and satellite, theres plenty of other spots to be found.
