Whats the model on that rod? I dont see the travel rods on the Savage site. I need a musky/pike/tarpon travel rod and that looks pretty solid!

    I think I found it - model 36207

What are the lengths of each section? 5 even lenths in 6'6" total? 15.6 inches each?

The sections are about 17 inches each, i have no model number but it is the Savagear Road Runner model, and now i've looked it is a bit cheaper than when i bought it (always the way!) It really is a study Rod for the money and will be perfect for what i need, it sounds like you could do with the same Rod but a couple of versions bigger!

    Hi Woody
    When are you leaving?
don't forget to take one or two surface bull in small size. That's the best lure I've ever tried

On the sea surface bull are just great but you might use smaller surface lure for one of their weird fish. In France they're giving huge result on perch and pike so it must be really similar there. I ll ask the question and look around for more informations. Sorry for the question regarding the departure; it was in your first post :sorry:
