The Friday Scene on the Humber
I went and checked out the scene down at the Humber today. There river was lively. There were more fishermen there than I remember from the fall salmon. I saw a couple of nice steelies landed. I, myself, landed sh** all. The river was level was medium and the water was fairly clear but still muddy.
There was a wack of construction going down on the Bloor bridge. The jack hammering eventually drove me off.
I figure I'll give a report of the scene whenever I go down there. My next trip will be early next week.
I also checked out the mouth last Saturday: No fishermen, no action.

I can make myself available for Sunday if you want to make a trip. I suggest we go early. I was surprised at the number of people for a Friday I imagine Sunday will be a pretty wild scene. I was casting spinners, small spoons and flies. Everyone was catching on eggs and floats but I didn't have any eggs at the time. I'm going to snag some today.

I'll get back to you tonight. I have a friend coming in from out of town I don't know if he's spending the night. I'm also getting tattooed today and I'm not sure which part of me is going to be sore heh.

Cool bud, I figured you got up to some serious partying. I ended up checking out the Credit with some friends. We didn't catch any trout but we got into some big suckers. This rain should stir things up a little.
Yeah we should figure something out for next weekend.

I checked out the Humber again today. The waters are high and muddy. I didn't see anything caught except a giant sucker. There were probably 6-7 fishermen.

Unfortunately, I got the "if you go fishing every weekend I'm leaving you" speech from the Gf. So I'm going to have to bail on this one.
Let me know how it goes.
