Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and I would love to hear if anyone has experience Largmouth Bass fishing around the Toronto Islands. I have a fishing Kayak and I went out last week and got nothing after 5 hours!!

    Is anyone able to help.

Wow 5 hours and no fish sounds discouraging

Sorry I can not offer help because I don't know too much about fishing, but I hope someone more knowledgable will chime in.

Still sounds better than being at work LOL!

What areas of the islands did you try? What kind of lures/tactics did you try? We had some pretty crazy weather last week as well as a full moon.

Also, should one use leaders if they are using braided lines when fishing at Toronto Island?

You dont have to use a leader, though it's probably a good idea for pike. For bass you might also want to use one just so that the line isnt visible right to the bait. Some flourocarbon should be fine, probalby 20# for bass and 30-40# for pike.
