Your Best Fall Bass Lures

I love fishing in the fall. The bass always seem bigger for some reason! White and black colours have always been my favorite bass colours in the fall.

GULP Sinking minnows, Mepps Aglia Glow and willow blade spinnerbaits have produced more big bass then any other lures for me.


What are your favourite bass lures for fall?

I just started fishing for bass for the last couple of trips, and I'm really surprised with the results of Texas rigging a 5inch Senko worm.

Every time I fish at dawn/dusk, I would get a nice 2 lb large mouth and maybe a 1lb-er. The numbers aren't really there yet because I usually fish from the shore, but I like the fact that you won't get any annoying panfish or smaller bass like you do with worms. It keeps the small fry safe, and targets the larger ones.

Also, I like to cut the last 3 inches of the senko into quarters, giving it 4 tails. Maybe it's just me but it looks much better when it's fished weightless and the tails flutter when it falls down.

Clive that white spinnerbait you posted should be a staple in anyone's arsenal that are targeting bass throughout the whole year 
Down here for fall bassin a crank bait is the ticket, color pattern depends on water clarity, clear water natural colors, dirty water dark colors with alot of flash. Now something else you have to remember for fall is under extreme conditions like cold fronts it pays to use the old jig n pig worked slow. Fall is the time the bass love to gorge themselves on shad, so try to match the hatch so to speak

The only specific lure/color I use are chartreuse spinner baits in the spring.  Other than that I use most of my tackle box off and on all season.  I guess I do use more finesses stuff in the early spring and late fall when the water is cold.

Chatterbaits are going to be a hot new item on the menu this fall. These are similar to spinnerbaits but produce more noise in the water and the body wobbles back and forth very erratically. Combine this with the double tails on the Booyah, the fact that you can change the blades, and the hook is on a flexible wire so that even the biggest jumping bass and pike headshakes won't throw this bait once you've set the hook.

I used it on my trip to Mystery Lake and I absolutely love it. Gonna need another box just for these guys! Anyone heading up to LV this spring pick up a few of these and some of the bigger ones made by musky innovations (I think).
