Legendary Fishermen - Your thoughts...

Hey guys, I was would like to year your thoughts so far of the site and system (currently Wordpress MU + BuddyPress). I know a few people have had problems with spam, which I hope have been fixed. Most of all it doesn't seem like the BuddyPress side of things get much use at all. I'm wondering if perhaps the software isn't as friendly and community oriented as I thought. I'm considering changing the site to a different software, but that could make things very confusing for you, but if you're already confused maybe change is good.
