Barbie Rod Versus Muskellunge

I must say, the toughest versus opponent we’ve ever covered has got to be the Barbie fishing rod. Coming in with several high ranking wins, like Black Drum, Catfish, and even Blue Shark!

The catfish posts claims a loss, but I’ve never seen it. As far as I’m concerned the Barbie fishing rod has a flawless 4-0 record and has even defeated one of freshwaters top predators- the muskellunge.

Barbie Versus Shark: Barbie Wins!

I’m pretty sure this shark may be a new record – largest fish caught on a Barbie rod!

Caught this +/- 100 pound blue shark on my daughters barbie rod during the Oaks Bluff Monster Shark Tournament. What started off as a joke and a bet turned into a reality.

Previous Barbie victories include:
Black Drum – 50 pounds
Catfish – 21 pounds

I found this photo, and others, on the Cherry family website. These guys definitely know how to have a good time, any crowd that brings a spare barbie rod, and catches a fish on it is cool in my book. I can’t really speak for their other fishing habits..
