I Love To Shop!

OK, I really don’t like shopping, but I do like spending money, which is really unfortunate, because I don’t have a lot. I did however, make two big purchases this week, and they cost me nothing. I got a new underwater video camera (the same one Jon just purchased, the Sanyo WH1), which was a late birthday/Fathers day present and a new kayak.

Some of you may remember I picked up a used canoe last year and had hoped to use it regularly. I’m ashamed to say it, but I haven’t used it once this year. It was a pretty beat up canoe, but despite its looks, it worked just fine. The reason I never used it is because no one would go canoing with me, and since the canoe was a good 80+lbs, transporting it to and from the roof of my car wasn’t an option. Well today I sold it, and with the money I received I was able to buy myself a new entry level kayak that was on sale because its an older model. I don’t have an excuses not to be using this new toy, its half the length of the old canoe, and weighs only 26 pounds!
