We’ve posted several pictures showing surfers having close encounters with sharks, and now we’ve got video! Most of the time swimmers and surfers are blissfully unaware that there are sharks nearby, and 99% of the time the sharks wont bother them anyway. I must admit though, I’d probably get out of the water for a bit if I saw sharks jumping out of the water around me.
No, no they are not. A cage diver on Mexico’s Baja coast had a close encounter with a 15 foot great white recently. The massive shark made a run at the diving cage and broke the bars, entering it and thrashing about. Luckily for this diver, he lived to tell the tale.
