Storm Lures, Luhr Jensen, and Blue Fox have all announced new “UV Bright” additions to their line up. The new UV Bright finish promises to increase the lure’s visibility by reflecting more light, including ultra-violet light, and triggering aggressive strikes from predatory fish. All UV Bright lures have a reflective base, fluorescent paints, optical brighteners and lures covering the entire spectrum of visible colours.

Download the UV Bright brochure (PDF) for more details.
The new Storm Kickin’ Stick is yet another fine example of a hardbody swimbait. The Kickin’ Stick comes in 9 colours and three sizes (5″, 6″ and 8″) all fitted with rattles, slow-sinking buoyancy, and quality VMC hooks. Guaranteed to perform for all applications and will only set you a back about 10-13 bucks each.

Check out this video of Dave Mercer catching a musky on his very first cast! Unfortunately the video is not available to embed, though I could probably copy the html code and embed it here anyway. Instead I’ll send Dave an email and hope that in the future we can post his videos here directly.
These lures are difficult to find in North America, but our European members will probably recognize these Salmo lures immediately. Salmo has released several new colour patterns for many of their lures, however the Salmo Slider is one of my favorites and is now available in some truly amazing colours. I especially like the clown colours, definitely need a few of those!
