Wavewalk Kayak is Crazy Stable- Emphasis on the Crazy

When I saw this this post on wavewalk.com I honestly thought it was going to be a joke. Who would be crazy enough to water test their kayak in the face of Hurricane Irene- Wavewalk that’s who.

The wind was blowing at 35 mph, with long gusts of up to 55 mph, beating the waters of this small lake to waves between 1 and 2 ft high.
Such waves are almost unnoticed when you’re paddling the W500, but paddling standing up against such powerful headwind isn’t easy, as you’ll see in this movie:

I especially liked the paddlers perspective, looks like GoPro footage. Nice work guys!

Peoria Carp Hunters- Gladiators on Water Skis

There are many ways that the USA is dealing with the Asian Carp invasion, there’s the electric fences (that may have already failed), a campaign to get people to eat them by calling them “Kentuky Tuna“, even extreme aerial bow fishing groups, but none of these ideas are as awesome as this one from the Peoria Carp Hunters! These Aren’t Your Average Slingshots

I’ll bet you never had a slingshot with a tactical light, or a knife, or two knives. And I’ll bet you never had a slingshot with all of those things combined. Probably didn’t have pepper spray or a taser either, but that’s because you’re not Jörg Sprave the ultimate slingshot enthusiast.

Still not impressed? How about a slingshot/crossbow that shoots machettes. Yea, that’s right- fuckin’ machettes.

Lightning Rod

In case you are wondering what you are looking at, its not a Berkley Lightning rod, but it is a rod that was hit by lightning!
