Epic Fishing Photo Of The Day

I saw this photo on Reddit a few days ago and its definitely one of the coolest photos I have seen in a long time! I would imagine that this was probably not an easy shot to get. I don’t have any details on the photo, but if you do, feel free to post a comment!

Octopi Just Wanna Have Fun

We all know that Octopi, in fact all Cephalopods, are very smart. But this one was a little too smart, or maybe it just bored and wanted to play. As this diver was swimming along he spotted and Octopus and decided to get a closer look with his camera. Unfortunately for him, the Octopus liked the camera so much HE STOLE IT!

Barracuda Circle

My mom used to tell me stories about swimming with massive schools of juvenile barracudas when she was young, but I could never imagine what it would be like until I saw this photo. Although I’ve never heard of barracudas attacking swimmers, they certainly have the teeth to cause some serious damage and being surrounded by this many of them has got to be pretty unnerving!

High Five!

As awesome as this photo is, all I can think of is how much it would hurt if a whale fin smacked you…

Up Close And Personal With Jaws!

I’ve been fascinated by sharks for as long as I can remember. When I was 13 I fished for salmon with my uncle in BC and there were plenty of sharks around. I tried deliberately to catch them, even though everyone else was trying to get salmon. I’ve got several since then and have always felt pretty comfortable with them. I’ve even had a couple of encounters while snorkeling in the British Virgin Islands. Granted they were all small sharks, much smaller then myself. As much as I love sharks, I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to be face to face with a great white in the open sea. I’ve really got to hand it to the people behind this awesome photo.
