New Fishing Fury Brand Gear!

We’re hard at work to bring you what you’ve been asking for, and the number one request I keep hearing about are t-shirts! It’s crazy to think that the last “official” t-shirt was so many years ago (pre 2005?)! That limited edition print, no more than 20 shirts total, were sold and given away to friends and family in a matter of hours.

Many of you have already seen the Fishing Fury script designed by our good friend and tattoo artist Alie K. We’ll here is your chance to get it on a t-shirt*! We’re still getting all the sizes (mens, womens, and childrens) and logo colours (blue, red, pink) setup in the store, but if you see something you want that we’re missing just let us know! I’m also working on the dark coloured shirts, just have to figure out how to get the graphics right with their system.

* Oops did I only say t-shirt?! Cause you’ll also find them on stickers, mugs, and hoodies!

Fishing Fury Opens Registration

That’s right we’ve decided to open up registration again, and with that a lot of features we’ve had waiting in the background for weeks now.

By registering for an account you’ll be able to subscribe to email updates and get notifications when new posts are made, very useful for Contests and Name That Fish posts. You’ll also enjoy moderation free comments, no more waiting for us to approve them, and localized comment avatars! Gravatars should still work, if you have one. We even have a few features for contributors.

It’s also time to start moving forward with things like stickers and t-shirts. I don’t want to give too much away but I will show you some artwork that will be on both stickers and t-shirts. Check out this cool Fishing Fury script by my good friend and tattoo artist Alie K..

Seriously though, there is a huge stack of work to be done around here and exciting things for the future. 2009 will definitely be our largest growth period so far.

Fishing Is Not A Crime

Here’s a shirt idea I’ve been kicking around for a while. I know a few of you guys were interested in one, so here the design so far. Leave some comments and let me know what you think. A shirt like this would be under $20 USD.

Fishing Fury Merchandise

I sent a few basic designs in to get printed to check the quality of an online store I’ve been scoping out. I was a little disappointed in the quality that was returned, but I still want to make some Fury merchandise available to anyone who wants it. I started a post in our forums to see what type of design you guys would be interested in. Ideally, I’d like to offer hats, t-shirts, hoodies and buttons with a variety of logo designs. If any of you readers have some good ideas, or are designers, let us know! If you make a design we like, we’ll give you a free shirt in return!

Here are some buttons I had printed, as you can see the bottom two are a little off center.

If you take a look on the forums, I also had a shirt printed for my son, and again the quality wasn’t great, but that may have been partially my fault.

Fishing Fury Merchandise?

We ran an order of 50 shirts a while back and got rid of them pretty quick. In case you missed it, we are thinking about printing some new merchandise. These designs will be different of course (the last set of shirts were special limited editions). Potentially we can feature our designs on shirts, hoodies, buttons, hats, shoes and more. Of course there has to be at least a little demand for such products, so if you are interested in some Fury merch, lemme know!

Also, these shirts and hats can be customized to have logos on the arms, hood, back, front and even have your name on them. Here are a couple of examples featuring our logo alone.
